Learn relief (linoleum or wood) printmaking in an inspiring setting! This workshop will offer an introduction to the wonderful tools and techniques of the age-old art of block printing through example and hands-on learning. Participants will work together with artist Amanda Palmer to create their own images inspired by Zion National Park scenery, flora and fauna. Through active participation and guidance from an experienced artist/printmaker students will learn basic relief printing concepts and techniques to nudge them on their way to becoming printmakers themselves. Participants will come to realize that creating art in our National Parks is a life-changing experience. Appreciation of our National Parks is one of Amanda’s main goals – by combining these two loves – art and parks – she hopes to foster stewardship and creativity in one wonderful workshop!
