The Zion National Park Forever Project, the official nonprofit partner of Zion National Park, announced a transition in board leadership today. Recognizing the contributions of outgoing board chair Julie Saemisch, her pivotal leadership was crucial in steering the process of selecting a new CEO, Natalie Britt, for Zion Forever. While Julie will continue to provide invaluable insight and guidance as a member of the board, the Board of Directors is honored to announce the election of Shain Manuele as the new Board Chair of the Zion National Park Forever Project. Kyle Wells, Ph.D. Professor of Finance at Utah Tech University was selected to serve as Vice-Chair.
Shain Manuele, a respected local attorney and principal at Manuele Law in Cedar City, Utah, has been a committed member of the board for three years. Natalie Britt, CEO of the Zion National Park Forever Project, expressed her enthusiasm for the leadership transition, stating, “While we are immensely grateful for Julie’s unwavering dedication and visionary leadership, we are equally excited to welcome Shain into his new role. His passion for the parks and his exemplary community engagement are assets that will undoubtedly propel us forward in our mission to preserve and protect these natural treasures for future generations.”
Park Superintendent Jeff Bradybaugh highlighted the importance of the partnership between Zion National Park and the Forever Project, remarking, “The collaboration between the park and the Zion National Park Forever Project is vital to our continued success in conservation and education. We are confident that Shain’s leadership will strengthen this partnership and inspire further progress in our shared goals.”
Upon accepting the role, Shain Manuele shared his enthusiasm, stating, “It is an honor to step into the role of Board Chair for the Zion National Park Forever Project. I have always been inspired by our amazing public lands and the dedicated communities that surround them. I am committed to building on the solid foundation my predecessors laid and working closely with the park, the community, and our supporters to ensure that we continue to make a difference, now and forever.”
The Zion Forever Project is enthusiastic about this new chapter under Shain’s leadership and remains committed to its mission of enhancing the visitor experience and safeguarding the park’s unique landscape by supporting its park partners in education, research, and philanthropic efforts.
