Spend the morning walking through the riparian habitat along the valley floor via part of the Pa’rus Trail and then heading up the lower scrub slopes and pinyon-juniper woodland to the top of the Watchman Trail. We will track and observe birds along the way, paying particular attention to the change in habitats, and talking about the natural history of some of the species we may observe. Limited to 10 participants.
Participants should bring binoculars (or, can borrow), good hiking shoes, appropriate clothing for the season and possibility of changing weather, sunscreen, water, and a lunch.
