What better time to photograph in Zion than when spring wildflowers abound, when the river runs fast and the wildlife is abundant? Learn about Zion and photography at the same time. The primary goal in this class will be learning to operate your camera in full manual mode. Other topics to be covered include controlling depth of field, exposure control, appropriate use of filters, proper use of tripods, white balance control, composition, making the most of small and medium formats and more. Work in digital or film, in color or black and white. Feel free to bring samples of your work for a group critique. Class breaks each day at noon for lunch and reconvenes at 2:30 pm and stays out till dusk. Participants are encouraged to bring cameras with interchangeable lenses to benefit most from their experience in this class. Limited to eight participants. This is a photography class, not a computer class. There will not be a digital darkroom component to this class. There is 3 – 4 miles walking on uneven ground with some uphill/downhill each day. Participants must be honest in assessing their ability to traverse this terrain under these conditions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
